Self City; a virtual training world for kids with social disability

Self City aimed to find better methods for training special education pupils in social skills. Many of these pupils have a social-emotional or very marginal  mental handicap, so they are often unable to function properly in a group. One of the goals of special education is to lead these youngsters back into regular education or work.
SelfCity researched the needs together with the Radbout University and created an online world where these pupils could feel safe and practice their skills to broaden their range of social responses.
